Through the Rear-View

The only safe place for us to meet.

I see myself lost in your structure, falling
deep and deeper into a strange-like haven
my universe hangs in the balance, as I’m
forever swallowed by the tides of your eyes.

Through the rear-view, gazes of ours met halfway
I could feel you on me as I averted elsewhere
Your eyes, your neck, your heaven-like lips,
Somehow enchants me to write again.

I’ll count the leaves, the stars, rain and teardrops
Only to feel the things I’m feeling
to imagine what lies beneath and what’s coming
when I kiss those eyes goodnight.
